Dr Segenet Kelemu, Director-General & CEO of International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (icipe) concluded a two-day visit to the Nations, Nationalities and Peoples’ Region (SNNPR) of Ethiopia. The visit was held on 13 and 14 September 2021 to the MOYESH Programme apiculture site in Kara Soditi Village of Wonago, Burqitu bio-waste Processing and Integrated Agriculture Enterprise in Yirgalem town, Fish Nutrition Lab and School of Nutrition, Food Science and Technology of Hawassa University. During her visit, Dr. Segenet held talks with different programme partners, staff, and the youth partners on the way to integrate more supplementary activities in the sites that would help to improve the income of the youth while maintaining environmental health. Including Dr. Tadele Tefera, icipe– Ethiopia Country Head, many senior management staff were also attendants of the field visit in Kara Soditi village of Wonago district. The visiting team observed several activities taking place around the sites, the packed table honey displayed, and complementary sideline business run by Andinet and Hunje Lelino youth enterprises
