It was considered timely to review the progress of activities run by different partners and thus, in collaboration with the Mastercard Foundation, icipe/MOYESH Programme hosted a 2023 mid-year Partners Convening Workshop on 10 and 11 August 2023 at the ILRI campus in Addis Ababa. 

This meeting specifically convened under the theme: Boost Young Women’s Engagement in Work and Enterprise Development: Processes, Opportunities and Challenges designed to address the following five objectives.

1. Capture young women’s voices and solicit advice for improved women’s engagement in program design and implementation.
2. Review Mid-year progress toward women outreach and youth in work performance and develop an action plan to engage more women.
3. Share best practices and lessons learned on women-focused/targeting enterprise development.  
4. To understand the challenges being faced by women and identify opportunities for improved women’s engagement enterprise development.
5. To strengthen program integration and collaboration among partners for improved program delivery

The workshop was attended by 40 partners, who made important recommendations and action plans.
